Cassini put his, presently blind, eye to the telescope. Gazing through, he could see the moon, in a way likely no mortal has. Instead of the round glassy-white rock of the full moon, it was a mountainous sphere, with forests of stone dotting the landscape. What his eye was attracted to, was the huge chasm, spanning the entire of the moon's surface, splitting it into two, as if the two hemispheres had been smashed together. Cassini was ecstatic at the findings and shared it with the others, who suggested adjusting the telescope to peer deeper into the chasm. In doing so, he heard a voice speak in his head.
"Don't worry, I protect the moon. We do not need you."
From the chasm, enormous jets of white energy shot out and began wrapping around the sphere, until almost the entire moon was covered. The others saw as from the ground a small piece of spider silk emerged around his feet and before his allies could warn him, it wrapped him up in a cocoon. The sound of earth cracking filled the night and 5 more forms burst from the floor. Two Driders, half-man, half-spider and two giant spiders arouse, as well as an enormous spider coming from behind. Cassini's eye began to glow, as he was being pulled towards the large cocoon. He tried changing into a spider to free himself and could feel at least two other creatures connected to him from the web, one in the cocoon and the other, the distant presence of the Queen of Spiders.
In the middle of the fight, Cassini invoked the new power of the eye to manifest a minor wish. As he was running from the cocoon, Shiek slashed at it, splitting it in two and revealing the misshapen form of a huge spider with eyes on its tummy. It spat a deadly blast of poison at Cassini, knocking him out, before wrapping him up again. While the rest of the party fought the remaining arachnids, with Valeyo blowing up the head of the multi-eyed spider. They focused on freeing Cassini, which Valeyo accomplished with a Knock spell, only to see his lifeless corpse there. Thankfully, Otto was close by and managed to revivify him.
After the fight, Milivoj tried to burn the web at it was flammable, though it didn’t burn. He spent some time extinguishing it, before scooping some of it up and putting it in the bag of holding. Cassini shared his vision of the moon being wrapped, as if in spider silk. The group then began walking back to Velimos.
Back in the manor house, they met Byron, who asked what had happened, but they were too tired to talk. He mentioned he would scout out places to stay, while it was dark and the group went to bed.

In the morning Milivoj sent Ysomir and Blazh to buy some rations, while Shiek and Sapphira went looking for potions. One person suggested they look for the giant yak man in the north of town. After some searching, they saw an enormous beast of burden, over 20ft tall, with a small structure mounted on its back. Inside was a small halfling man and the variety of goods displayed around the room, clearly marked him as a travelling trader. Shiek suggested, they get the rest of the group and Sapphira ran back to grab them. The halfling asked if they should wait for the others and Shiek agreed it would be for the best. He asked the man why he has chosen to build a shop on top of a cow and the halfling protested that Douglas, was no cow, he was a Giant Ox and not from the Material Plane.
When she got the others, Valeyo and Milivoj were impressed by the ox's size, saying it could feed a village. Once inside, Valeyo asked the man if this beast was from the Valley Of Giants. The man chuckled and said it was actually from the Fey, as there is some energy leaking from into the Valley of Giants. The halfling's name was Desimir but people called him the Giant Yak Man. When asked about interesting items, he brought out a pistol, that didn’t consume ammo and could fire large bolts of energy. He also had a bow called King shot, which had been used to assassinations. It could bane a target and make it easier to critically strike them. It did however cost 21k gold. He also had a set of armour called Mistwalker Armour, which could cast Fog cloud, but you could see through it. He had a couple of flails: One was called the hydra flail, which would grow extra heads when you critically hit. The next one he called quite special and pulled out a box, from which he withdrew a stick and a head, which didn't appear to be connected. He explained that in the ball was a little sun, and it began glowing as he swung the head.
He asked the group, where they were headed and after hearing it was the Valley of Giants, he looked around and told them he had a Giant-slaying shortbow, which is somewhat frowned upon here. He also had potions, of which the group bought a case of small potions. He could give them a discount if they could deliver a parcel to the leader of Rekadurno, a stone giant called Vespur, as they were headed there anyway. He had the group follow him outside, where there was a torso sized geode. In exchange for delivering it, he would give them 15%.
As for other things, he had a staff with a crooked end that could pull people and would be enhanced by a bard's skills. He also had scrolls and hallucinogens. Milivoj asked him where he got the flails from. The Hydra he got from Grumpad and the Star Metal one from Klipperkant, but also originally from Grumpad.
When they returned a couple of hours later, the Giant Yak Man grabbed the geode, which was as large as him, with one hand and put it in the back of their cart. He told them he would be going south in a couple of days and they said their goodbye.
