Events Timeline
- On the way to Dragomir, Cassini looks through his telescope and is accosted by ghosts, saying he isn't worthy and mentioning the name Arvandor.
- In Dragomir, Cassini tries to find information on Arvandor, but the only book he could find is missing a key page, so he arranges for to pick up a complete copy for the university from Skalenvru.
- Cassini finds out that Arvandor is supposedly Sehenine's twins in some interpretations, but nobody knows of, or worships a god by that name.
4. At Vincent's observatory, Cassini looks through the telescope again an is contacted by a voice, claiming to be Arvandor, who asks to be freed. He calls himself the lost prince of the moon.
5. After being killed by the Slaughter Demon, Cassini has a vision. He mentioned how the being wished to be free and about their potentially being more telescopes. He found the first in the mountains near Grum and proposed other temples might be in the mountains. One night his professor found a temple and they started exploring it together, but they were attacked in the temple and his professor died. Cassini passed out and was saved by someone, but he assumed his professor was killed.
6. While sailing from Otusta to Skalenvru, Cassini was visited by an entity posing as Veleyo and later as his professor. The entity told him the story of two twin gods of luck and misforture - Sehenine and Arvandor. The two were merged at some point into the moon, with Sehenine taking Arvandor's power, but they needed to be separated lest the moon crack in half. There were two other telescopes that Cassini needed, which were in different observatories.
7. Once on land, in Topinal, Cassini setup his telescope in the evening and looked through it. This time he looked at the moon seeing a saddened visage, which made eye contact with him and pleaded to be separated. He then felt a pain in his eye and discovered it had been replaced with the Eye of the Lunar Gods, as a voice told him that he would be their observer.
8. In Skalenvru, the group discovered that the second telescope was for sale in the auction, by Albert Foy, the uncle of Osrin, the druid who saved Cassini in the mountains.
9. Cassini tried to find out more about Arvandor from the book that he couldn't find in Dragomir, but it was also missing here. He tried talking to Gemma, the priestess of Sehenine, but she didn't seem to know anything.
10. During a ritual, Gemma was attacked and Cassini saved her.
11. When he went to Gemma's home to speak with her, Cassini revealed that he possessed one of the telescopes and spoke of his communication with Arvandor. She called him a heretic, a follower of the Lord of Strife and said she would never let him have the telescope from the auction, requesting he gave her the one he already had, which he refused.
12. Gemma sent a creature after Cassini, which infiltrated Milivoj's dreams and made him hand over the telescope, while sleepwalking.
13. The group broke in to Gemma's house and recovered the telescope, as well as a completed copy of the book Cassini had been looking for in the universities.
14. During the auction, in the middle of battle, Gemma and a being referred to as the Scion of the Moon, tried to steal the telescope, only to be stopped by Valeyo and Otto. The Scion and Gemma attacked the group, but with help from Emisar Niva Kavka, they were defeated. Right as that happened, the Scion, which had a assumed an semi-corporeal luminous form, began collapsing in on itself and imploded destroying a large part of the auction house.
15. The group later acquired the second telescope, which merged with the first one.
16. While travelling towards Skalenvru, Cassini brought out the telescope again to gaze at the moon. From Gemma's books he had discovered that ages in the past, Lolth had lied to the world and removed the existence of Arvandor from the world's memory. For some reason she wanted whatever was happening to the moon to continue. While looking through the telescope, Cassini was told to stop by an angel of Sehenine, who upon being refused, attacked the group. They fought it back and it retreated, saying there would be more coming.
17. It seemed that Sehenine's followers believe in Lolth's lie and assume that the separation of Arvandor and Sehenine would kill their goddess, so they try to stop it.
18. After reaching Velimos, Cassini would bring out the telescope again. He saw that moon had a long crater along it, almost like a crack, from which ethereal webs emerged, wrapping it in a cocoon. When he looked away, he saw that he had been wrapped into a cocoon by two driders and a huge spider, sent by Lolth, which the group defeated.
